The confirmed shape of Leonida

Grand Theft Auto VI returns to Vice City but expands far beyond the metro area. Rockstar's official region pages establish an urban southeast, tropical island chain, wetlands, western gulf town, industrial interior, and northern wilderness.

This is not simply a larger Vice City. The contrast between dense streets, open highways, water, marsh, small towns, and elevation suggests distinct travel rhythms and activity types.

Every official region

Vice City is the neon-heavy core. The Leonida Keys stretch across tropical water. Grassrivers provides mangroves and wildlife. Port Gellhorn is a faded resort economy on the gulf. Ambrosia revolves around sugar production and biker influence. Mount Kalaga introduces forest, rock, hunting, fishing, and off-road terrain.

  • Vice City — beach, port, airport and dense urban districts
  • Leonida Keys — islands, bridges, marinas and open water
  • Grassrivers — wetlands, airboats and wildlife
  • Port Gellhorn — motels, strip malls and dirt-bike culture
  • Ambrosia — refinery and agricultural interior
  • Mount Kalaga — northern backcountry

How the GTA 6 Mapping Project works

Community cartographers triangulate trailer cameras, road geometry, skylines, coordinates, signage, and screenshots. The result is an impressive hypothesis that can be revised as new media appears.

The 11,000-pixel map in our explorer is a fan reconstruction. It is valuable for understanding relationships, but labels, roads, scale, borders, and blank areas may change. We mark it as community-made rather than official.

Is the map bigger than GTA V?

Rockstar has not published square mileage. GamingBible discussed fan-map expansion and the concern that a larger world could become empty, but the size increase described there comes from community mapping—not a Rockstar measurement.

Density matters as much as area. Enterable spaces, traffic behavior, interiors, water routes, events, and mission distribution will decide whether Leonida feels richer, not one viral percentage.
